WebJan 24, 2024 · As we move towards the start of the new local authority arrangements we have now split the parish and town council updates into one for the new Cumberland area and one for Westmorland and Furness. You can be added to the Parish and Town Council mailing list of either council by emailing [email protected]. WebCumbria County Council – Cllr Lister reported that arrangements are being finalised for the handover to Cumberland Council on 1st April. Cllr Lister advised he will be retiring from local government on 31st March. Members thanked Cllr Lister for his assistance with matters affecting the Parish over the last 16 years.
